Ugandan Singer Namukwaya Hajara Diana, also known as Spice Diana has today Morning Surprised National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine after responding to NUP’s call and paying a big chunk of money for Four stranded Ugandans girls from Arab Countries.
According to Bobi Wine, Spice Diana paid UGX 3.4 million shillings in a campaign initiated by NUP party to bring back stranded Ugandans mostly girls from different detention centers across the gulf.
“When I called to thank her, she was like “come on brother, I did that for myself and fellow women. I gave myself an early birthday gift”. I was speechless.” Bobi Wine statement partly reads.
The firebrand NUP president encouraged fellow Ugandans join in the campaign of helping stranded Ugandans in any possible way, saying that its not apolitical initiative as some people want to paint it.
“To all fellow Ugandans, this is not political like some people want to paint it. You too can help our people either through us or through anybody else.” Said Bobi Wine
Bobi Wine added at the main objective of this campaign is to put an end to so many suffering Ugandans abroad.
“The objective is to ensure that we put an end to the suffering of so many Ugandans out there”
The total number of Ugandans that the National Unity Platform (NUP) party has returned from the United Arab Emirates under its campaign is now 42.
The party spokesperson, Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi, asked the government to avoid politicising the campaign, saying Ugandans in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) should enjoy equal rights and opportunities just like any other citizen.
