OFFICIAL: Uganda is global Laughing Stock- Says NRM’s MP Kabanda.

National Resistance Movement (NRM) Kasambya county Member of Parliament David Kabanda has revealed that Uganda is now officially a laughing stock globally after suffering an international embarrassment.

Kabanda, made the statements on his official twitter handle while responding to a leaked letter written by Ambassador Adonia Ayebare, who is the Uganda’s permanent representative to the United Nations in which he was requesting Office of the Prime Minister to pay for the for overtime and toll fees accrued by Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robina Nabbanja during her visit to Women Leaders forum on 20th September this year.

According to the letter dated 29^th Sept.2022, upon the premier’s invitation for the forum organized by the General Assembly and the Executive Director of UN Women, the mission hired a vehicle for Nabbanja and her delegation 17th – 21st September, but the vehicles and driver were used beyond the agreed working hours which resulted into an extra charge of US$ 10,313.75 which is about UGX 39,208,772.63.

David Kabanda asserted that with such actions and scenarios, Uganda has now moved from a national to an international embarrassment.
