She Kasese SC clinched the 2024 Kitara Women Regional Championship in spectacular fashion with a decisive 3-0 victory over Kibale Academy Women FC.

The match, held at Owobusobozi playground, Kagadi District, saw an impressive hat-trick from Biira Gloria, propelling the Snow Queens to the championship title.

The game began with She Kasese SC displaying their dominance right from the first whistle.

Their offensive prowess was evident as Biira Gloria netted the first goal within the opening 15 minutes. The crowd roared in approval as Gloria showcased her skill and agility, maneuvering through Kibale’s defense with ease.

As the first half progressed, She Kasese SC maintained their momentum. Gloria struck again just before halftime, giving her team a comfortable 2-0 lead.

The second half saw Kibale Academy Women FC attempting to rally, but the solid defense led by Mbambu Ronet and Katusabe Bridget thwarted their efforts.

The climax of the match came when Gloria completed her hat-trick in the 70th minute, sealing the victory for She Kasese SC.

This win not only secured the championship but also highlighted the exceptional talent within the team, particularly under the guidance of their coach, Bagenda Jonex.

Coach Bagenda Jonex, affectionately known as “The Man,” has been instrumental in the team’s rise. Since the club’s inception in 2019, he has led She Kasese SC to historic heights, including their promotion to the Women’s Elite League.

This achievement marks them as the first women’s football team from Kasese District to reach such a level, bringing immense pride to the local community.

Their victory cannot be overstated as Kasese had waited over a decade for a moment of such magnitude since Sun City last appeared in the FUFA Big League.
