Vipers SC Head Coach Resigns Citing Breach of Contract

In a shocking turn of events, Vipers Sports Club’s Head Coach Alex Isabirye Musongola has tendered his resignation, citing breach of contract and casting uncertainty over the team’s future. Isabirye, who led Vipers to a double victory last season by winning the Startimes Uganda Premier League and the Stanbic Uganda Cup, has expressed discontent over the recruitment of an assistant coach and two Brazilian players without his consultation.

The resignation comes after Isabirye was summoned to appear before the team’s Disciplinary Committee for absconding from his duties. However, Isabirye claims he was unable to attend due to injuries sustained from a recent car accident involving a double cabin vehicle that rammed into his car on Saturday.

In a statement addressed to Vipers CEO, Mr. Simon Peter Njuba, Isabirye expressed his disappointment in not being consulted when recruiting Assistant Coach Raoul Lukusa Kayembe and Brazilian players Giancarlo Lopez Rodrigues and Luis Otavio Santos de Araujo. The head coach believes that the club’s actions have undermined his role and make it impossible for him to achieve the set targets.

Isabirye’s sudden resignation has left Vipers SC in a precarious position as they seek to build on their recent successes. The fallout between the management and the head coach could potentially impact the team’s performance and morale in the upcoming season.

Despite the unfortunate circumstances surrounding his departure, Isabirye expressed gratitude for the opportunity to coach the Vipers and wished the team the best in their future endeavors. The search for a new head coach is now underway as the club strives to maintain its winning momentum amid the brewing turmoil.
