The Minister of State for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, Charles Okello Engola, was shot dead in Kyanja by his guard who later turned the gun on himself.
The UPDF guard accused the minister of mistreatment and non-payment.
The motive and identity of the man are not yet clear.
Engola has been minister since 2011 and is also the elected Member of Parliament for “Erute County South,” Lira District.
