AFCON 2023: Uganda Cranes’ qualification is in jeopardy following a 0-1 loss to Tanzania.
With a 1-0 loss against Tanzania at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Egypt, the Uganda Cranes’ chances of making it to the 2023 AFCON finals in Ivory Coast are in doubt.

Tanzania prevailed in the East African derby thanks to a goal from Simon Msuva in the 68th minute. The Cranes had troubled the entire game even after adding youthful players Allan Okello, Isma Mugulusi, and Richard Basangwa at the beginning of the second half.
Tanzania now holds the second spot in the group with four points thanks to the results. With just a point, Uganda maintains its dire position.
Group F is currently being led by Algeria (9 points), with Niger (2 points).
The Cranes, however, still have a chance to prove themselves when they play Tanzania again in four days in Dar es Salaam’s Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
The Uganda Cranes’ supporters should pay close attention to their next games to see if they can turn things around.
