Police Issues Statement on the Deadly Accident that Killed LC.5 Chairperson

Yesterday on 17/03/23, the Territorial Police in Kiboga recorded a fatal accident at Mataagi village in Bukomero Town council along Kampala – Hoima highway in Kiboga District.

The incident resulted in the loss of two lives. According to police, the accident involved two vehicles, a Prado Land Cruiser with registration number UAH 053Q and a Fuso fighter with registration number UBB 059Z.

According to ASP Faridah Nampiima, motor vehicle Reg No UBB 059Z on its way from Kampala to Kiboga, allegedly swerved to avoid a pothole and collided with motor vehicle UAH 053Q, which was being driven by Kirungi Kadiri, the Chairman LC5 Hoima District.

The collision resulted in the deaths of Kirungi Kadiri and his escort Police Constable Otim Bosco, who were killed instantly.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Kiboga hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
