Just In: Government Releases List of AY2022/23 Students Loan Scheme Beneficiaries

The Minister of State for Higher Education, Hon. Dr. John Chrysestom Muyingo, has officially released the list of 9th Cohort of Student Loan Scheme Beneficiaries for the Academic Year 2022/23.

This list includes the names of the students who have been selected to receive the loan and the amount of the loan they will receive.

The Ministry of State for Higher Education has committed to providing financial support to students who wish to pursue higher education but may not have the means to do so.

This student loan scheme is an important step in helping students to pursue their dreams and to ensure that no student is denied the opportunity to pursue higher education due to financial constraints.
A total of 625 students will be supported to study, with 518 (83%) of them enrolled in degree programs and 107 (17%) enrolled in diploma programs.

All loan beneficiaries who have been successful in their application will be contacted to report to their respective institutions in order to sign the loan agreement. This is an important step in the loan process, and must be completed in order to receive the loan.
