The Makerere University Management has broken silence on a viral video of a university lecturer who was recorded repeatedly slapping a female student while in class.

The video more especially on social media has attracted a lot of criticism and netizens have scoffed at the lecturer for treating a university student like a primary school pupil

The University has now strongly condemned the instructor’s conduct because it goes against several university policies conduct of the faculty is unacceptable and portrays an abuse of authority.
