Janet Museveni Orders UNEB To Provide a Special Paper For PLE Candidates Who Missed Exams

News reaching our editorial desk indicate that the First lady and Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni has instructed Uganda’s examination body Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) to provide a special paper for the 23 primary school candidates of St Christine primary school in Kakumiro who missed exams.

According to reports A total of 23 P7 candidates Mpasana Primary School in Kakumiro missed the final mathematic paper over failure to arrive at the examination centre on time.

The Kakumiro district inspector of schools Mary Kyofuna revealed that director of St Christine Primary School Pascal Asiimwe delayed to transport candidates to Mpasana Model examination centre and arrived one hour after the start of the mathematics paper, failing candidates to sit for the paper.

UNEB recently issued a statement acknowledging receiving information regarding the 23 P7 candidates of Mpasana Primary School who missed the math exams, saying that it’s running a number of consultations for proper decision making.

UNEB said that it was consulting with district officials to ascertain circumstances under which learners missed examination.

Now the Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni has directed UNEB to set special paper for 23 pupils. However, details of when and where the examinations will be conducted are not yet revealed.
