After Kenzo’s Gigantic Concert, Gov’t Should Suspend Quarantine and Declare Uganda Ebola Free- Says MP Nambooze.
Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament Betty Nambooze Bakireke has asked ministry of health to suspend the quarantine, after Kenzo’s successful historical festival that attracted thousands of people across Uganda’s capital Kampala.
Uganda’s BET award winner Eddy Kenzo, over the weekend Saturday staged massive concert dubbed Eddy Kenzo festival at Kololo ceremonial grounds which was graced by the prime minister Robbina Nambajja plus and Muhoozi project team chairman, Nuwagira Michael aka Toyota.
The venue was occupied to full capacity as some revelers blacked out due to overcrowding and they were instantly taken for medical attention as the event went on.
After having such huge crowds in one place, the Mukono Municipality legislator has asked the gov’t to lift quarantine and declare Uganda Ebola free and let poor Ugandans go to work and live peacefully.
“Congs & thanks Eddy Kenzo You made History! After Kenzo’s enormous festival, let the ministry of health suspend the quarantine for this is evidence that there is no more Ebola in Uganda… Let poor Ugandans go to work and live peacefully”. Said Nambooze
Nambooze also questioned why schools have been closed earlier for learners who missed two full years during Covid-19 while thousands of people are gathering and congested without any caution by the Health Ministry about Ebola.
“And why do we have to close schools earlier for learners who missed two full years during Covd19 when thousands of people can gather in thousands at Kololo, congested to such levels without any caution by the Health Ministry about Ebola l?”. Nambooze questioned.
The legislator who is currently in the USA receiving treatment advocated for her boss Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine also to be allowed and stage a similar concert at Kololo or Namboole so that people can continue to enjoy the benefits of the Music industry
“Lastly, let us have Kololo or Namboole for Bobi Wine and others so that we continue to enjoy the benefits of the Music industry. Kenzo will then be our undisputed number one by defeating other in drawing more crowds and International Guest-Musicians and superior organization”. Said MP Nambooze.
