MP Kabanda On Defence as Museveni RCC Bitterly Disagrees with Museveni’s Son Over Supporting M23 Rebels.

Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Kampala-Lubaga, Burora Herbert Anderson has strongly disagreed with First son Muhoozi Kainerugaba over his comments in support of M23 rebels in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

On Sunday October 6th, the Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations Gen. Muhoozi tweeted in support of M23 rebels whom he referred to as his brothers and it was dangerous for anyone to fight them because they are not terrorists.

Kampala-Lubaga RCC Burora Herbert Anderson bitterly reacted to Gen. Muhoozi’s statement, stating that M23 Should stop using Tutsi as a shield for its opportunistic actions but it should renegotiate its integration & coalition as it did before.  Burora also reminded the four-star general that even ADF has rights they are fighting for, but the Gov’t followed it up to the foreign land.

However, Burora’s reaction didn’t go well with Kasambya county member of parliament Hon. David kabanda, a renowned die of team Muhoozi, who quickly responded in defence of Muhoozi’s statements, saying that unlike the ADF whose motive is to remove a legitimate government, the M23 rebels are only fighting for inclusiveness in DRC and that they want the DRC government to honor the agreement they signed and also absorb the M23 army into the government forces.

Burora Herbert Anderson maintained his position that M23 rebels got their position and walked out and If the DRC Govt had sponsored genocide towards the TUTSI that would Justify their Fighting. Or If they were protecting their forces and allies against persecution that would also understandable but is not the case.

As the debate ranged on David Kabanda accused Burora of pretending like he has never seen Congolese attacking Banyamulenge (Congolese Tutsi) in Kinshasa, Anderson responded that the complexities in the Banyamulenge politics cannot be resolved by the gun. It is to the disadvantage of the Banyamulenge that the purported leaders are using this route while channeling other intentions.
