UNEB Finally Breaks Silence on Purported Leaked PLE Exams.

Uganda’s examination Body, Uganda National Examination Board-UNEB has issued a statement clarifying on the allegedly leaked exams for Primary Leaving Examination that are scheduled to begin on 8th November 2022.

Earlier, social media was washed with alleged reports of a group of people who were reportedly distributing to schools’ heads what’s believed to PLE exam papers scheduled for November 8th and 9th, 2022.
In as statement issued today 2nd November, UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule-Musamba has explained that the two cases referred to during the joint police briefing on Monday October 31, were in respect of purported UCE examination papers that were circulating on social media, in respect of the forthcoming Primary Leaving Examination (PLE).
The examination body has now reiterated that there has not been any leakage of the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) papers, calling up the public to ignore such reports.
“This is therefore to explain that the cases of two people under investigation that I referred to were not in respect of the forthcoming Primary Leaving Examination (PLE). Most importantly, the Board wishes to reiterate that there has not been any LEAKAGE of the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) papers. We call upon the public to ignore messages indicating that there has been such a leakage”. Part of the statement reads signed by Jennifer Kalule-Musamba
UNEB has therefore assured the public of stringent measures that have been put in place to ensure that no examination leakages take place.
“The Board would like to assure the public that stringent measures are in place to ensure that no examination leakages take place. We have so far managed to achieve this for UCE, and similar arrangements are in place for the Primary Leaving Examination, due next week”. Said Jennifer

The examination board urged the public against involving in any kind of examination malpractice, calling upon anybody with useful information related to the ongoing UNEB examinations to report to police or inform the Board immediately
